1) Stuck my finger in a blender on Friday night ending in a trip to the emergency room and 6 stitches. I are smart.

2) Los Gatos is awesome. Like Davis but with less psychotic politics.

3) I belong in San Francisco - as we walked down the streets last night, I felt the beat of the city pulse into me.

4) I went on a 90 minute hike that 7 months ago I never would have been able to do.

More later - typing is hard when you can't use a finger.

Actually, that was an earthquake.

KIDDING! I kid.
uh, do elaborate on the blender thing.

If it helps any, my grandmother once tried to remove a grass clog from the lawnmower while it was still running, and ended up slicing off the tip of her finger. She was in her 40s, and had had her PhD in History for quite some time.
OWAH!!!

YEOWCH!!!!!!! *Grabs her own finger in sympathy pain* I hope you are okay. =(

That's wonderful! So have things been easier with your foot/leg stuff with the weight loss, too?

I am so jealous of the hike, too. With my poor injured toe, I have had to pass on spring break hiking opportunities because my physical therapist has ordered me not to weight-bearing exercise or anything that would put stress on my toe until this thing clears up. I've been going on long bike rides by the Willamette to keep in shape and to avoid going CRAZY from not getting exercise (sometimes I wonder how healthy my little endorphin addiction is...).

OOOOOH, that just gave me an idea! If this toe thing clears up soon enough, I'll probably be running the San Francisco Marathon at the end of July. I believe they probably have some walker friendly categories -- maybe not the full marathon, but the half or the 5k -- you interested in participating as well?
