William Butler Yeats rocks my world.

We read The Stolen Child today in Fairy Tales. I've read the poem before, and call me horribly sentamental, but I get goosebumps everytime I read the refrain.

Come away oh human child
to the waters and the wild,
with a fairy hand in hand,
for the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

I don't know what to say about it. It just makes me really, really sad. Because it is true. Havn't we all wished at one time or another to be spirited away because this world is just too much to bear? And to wish that to our children, that they could be protected from all this somehow. . . how depressing can you get on snowy monday?

God I love Yeats though.
