The following two poems might possibly well be the first poems I ever memorised that weren't nursery ryhmes. I don't know why I still remember them, but some things you just don't forget. Leave it to emails with Kelly to get them dragged out of the mental attic.

I shot an arrow in the air
It came to earth I know not where
Then suddenly with rage profound
The man it fell on came around
And in less time than it takes to tell
He showed me where that arrow fell!
And now I do not greatly care
To shoot more arrows in the air.

A green little scientist
on a green little day
mixed some green little chemicals
in a green little way.
Now green little grasses
tenderly wave
Over the green little scientist’s
green little grave.

I totally cherish our emailing system!
my poem:

An anvil's black and shiney
It's very heavy too
Watch out my chubby friend
or one will fall on you

It's made of solid iron
it weighs a ton or two
We know you want to meet it
It wants to meet you too.

I heart animaniacs.
That one is right up there with the Banana Poem/Song thingy!
Dude, those totally remind me of shel silverstien. I LOVE him.
that second one reminds me of the song Blue by Eiffel 65

Here's the stroy about a little guy that lives in a blue world
and all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue
like him, inside and outside
blue his house with a blue little window and a blue corvette
and everything is blue for him and his-self
and everybody around cuz he ain't got nobody to listen to...
