Dr. Bunny

What a week this has been.

I just feel so darn good.

Monday I got a lot of stuff done. Grocery shopping, bill paying, self evaluation and validation, it was a positive feeling.

Tuesday I mailed off two resumes and delivered two resumes to local hotels. I also got in contact with my cousin in DC who has given me some GREAT contacts.

Wednesday I did my laundry and got hit on by a 32 year old man orginally from Liberia or someplace. I called my friend Mike and had a great english major discussion, it was beautiful. I also talked to my friend Ed, and we chatted for almost 2 hours about everything and anything. He's lonely out there in Chicago, like I am here. I mean, we still have friends, but we miss the friends we had back at school, and I think we miss each other.

Thursday brought a trip to the bookstore to pick up my dad's birthday present and a few cheep books for me. It also brought a call from the SpringHill suites requesting an interview with me! Yay! I was in such a good mood, in fact, that I actually COOKED dinner! It was wannabe chicken gumbo from a box with a side of sauteed mushrooms. I felt so PROUD. I didn't NUKE my DINNER! W00T!!

And now we are on Friday. I woke up early (like I've been doing all week), took a nice shower and shaved (mmmm smooooooooooooth), put on one of my nice new long skirts and a black top to match, did my hair and make up, put on my game face, and went to my interview. I have to say, it was FANTASTIC. I really think I made an impression, and I feel good about the answers I gave. Should I get the job, after 90 days I will be reviewed. If it's a good review, I will get full health and life insurance, Dental, and Vision as a benifit. Pretty keen, huh? And, as I've said before, having a job from 3-11 lets me have my mornings free for other kinds of interviews.

I hope that I can stay on this positive, energy filled feeling that I have. I know that it won't last forever, but I hope that it will last me until I find a steady job.

Anyway, like my subject says, GO TEAM ME! I think celebrating yourself and your accomplishments, even if they are as tiny as washing the dishes or grand as kicking ass in an interview, is important. So, not only is it GO TEAM ME, it should also be GO TEAM YOU!

Peace out kiddies, I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!
