Happy Holidays

To friends and family,
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Solemn Solstice, Kinky Kwanzaa, and any other holidays I may have left out. I am headed out for Duluth now to see my Grandmother and my Aunt (who also happens to be my Godmother). I'll be back online by the 26th.

I hope that the holidays treat all of you well, and that you are with people who you love and care about. No matter what religion you are, take the time to realize that this is a season of love, joy, peace, and reflection. As the year comes to a close, we can look back at all we've done, and look forward to all that we plan to do.

Let this year be filled with peace, acceptance, and love to all those who need it. Remember that it's up to each of us to do what we can to make this happen. Take time to breathe, take time to look at life.

This has been a hard holiday season for me. Christmas has always been very full of tradition for my family. Mom's collection of nativity scenes, advent dinners, advent calendars, the decoration of the christmas tree on the solstice, the carving of the roast beast on Christmas Eve. To be away from my family during this season has been hard, and many of you know how it's been effecting me. But I have friends who care about me, friends who will listen, and friends who will show their true colors even though I've painted them over with black.

To all of you: Your friendship is the greatest gift I could have ever wanted. Thank you all. Peace be with you in this holiday season.
