and didn't get much better

but then the company of a good friend and wine made my night

Woke up late - I must have turned off my alarm in my sleep. I woke up at 7:15am, flung clothes on and rushed out of the house at around 7:25. I made it to work with 3 minutes to spare and was greeted by blinking blinking lights. The blinking blinking lights didn't end. All those good positive feelings I had yesterday were buried under a mound of homeowners and north dakotans. BAD north dakotans.

But I kept myself menially knowing that after work I would go have drinks with Mr. Hawkenson, and sure enough, drinks and good conversations were had (although I fear that I may have dominated the conversation. I may talk all day at work, but it's the same thing over and over again. Sorry, Matt, if I was rambling, but I did have a great time.)

Good conversations though, about personal responsibility, enjoying watching others suffer ("just because your life is great now doesn't mean that tomorrow you could end up crushed by a refridgerator"), politics, religion, and the counter cultures abundant.

We need to have drinks more often!!

Anyhoot, the wine has made me drowsy and I should get to bed so I can wake up early tomorrow. IT shouldn't be too bad, just homeowners who think they'll get their stuff marked by tomorrow. FOOLISH MORTALS!
No, Meg you didn't dominate the conversation. You may know by now that I'm a man of few words. I'm thinking though that sometime around August (if you still are working there) you'll realize the repitition of stupid people and it won't frustrate you as much. You'll realize that life is not that bad because you're not in the grouping of "morons" and you can point out a stupid person like a Dr. Risden can identify a novel just by reading a couple of lines. I had a good time too. If there's a place somewhere near your work I can always meet you there sometime. But Bloomington is pretty much on your way home from work, right? I'll talk to you later. If you talk to your friend from work, let me know.
You may be a man of few words, but you have a right to get one in edgewise ;) I mentioned it because I do have a tendency to dominate conversations, and some of it is just feeling out what will be the natural rythem of the conversation.

I have no qualms (don't you just love that word?) with meeting up at fuddruckers. It is on my way home and 494 is not too bad. There's not many good bars near my work, closest would be in w st paul which is out of both our ways I think. Should we ever tire of Fud, I'm sure we could compromise on a different spot, but either way, I quite enjoy the pleasure of your company!
What's the scoop for SNC's graduation? Did you manage to get time off from work? The ceremony is Sunday, but as far as I know, I'm heading up there Friday. Mom may not be able to go until Satuday...It's still up in the air on my end, but you are more than welcome to catch a ride if you'd like to. =)
I don't know if I have time off from work yet, I'm still waiting to hear back (I'll bug them tomorrow). I'll let you know what the deal is though!
Sounds good to me. =)
