Yesterday was weird...

My sleep patterns are really messed up. I mean, REALLY messed up.

Today's Thursday, right? Right. Okay, so Tuesday night I crashed at 8pm and woke up bright and perky at 3am on Wednesday morning. So I signed onto IM and get messaged by Nick at around 3:30. So from 3:30 to about 1:30ish we just chatted. It was odd and relatively weird. I don't think I've ever chatted that long with someone before. I mean, it makes my day sound like a total waste, but while I was chatting I was sending off resumes and filling out applications. *sighs* I really wish I was working.

But chatting with Nick for so long just reminded me of when Sam would come over to the House and we'd just hang out for a whole night then go to Denny's at the wee hours of the morning. We'd start the night by renting some movies from blockbuster, and that was fun on it's own self. We'd wander up and down the aisle debating about what we wanted to see. I still remember the time I convinced him to watch Amelie by holding it up and saying "It's about a cute introverted French girl who finds love with a cute introverted French boy." But it was great, we'd have these fun conversations while browsing for movies. I honestly think that the guys who worked there new us pretty well.

But it was so nice having someone to go and rent movies with and then talk to until the sun came up. We'd sit on the porch and watch the rabbits play with each other then drive to Denny's and have breakfast (well, he'd have breakfast and I'd have something that wasn't breakfast food). He'd drive me home and I'd go to bed for a couple of hours then drag myself off to class.

It's not often that you find a movie buddy that clicks well. Maybe it was because we didn't have many friends, maybe it was because both of us didn't have a lot to do, but whatever the reason, we just hung out and watched movies a lot. I miss that. I miss Sam.

But anyways, after the marathon chatting with Nick (which ended when he started to see people in his room that weren't there) I didn't do much. I read a lot (I have a confession: I've been reading romance novels. DON'T ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME! Every now and then I want something that doesn't make me think. I need to rest my brain sometimes and just read for fun. Besides, they had really steamy sex scenes) and talked to Sarah. We hadn't talked for a long time (about a month) so we had a lot to catch up. She didn't know that I had lost my job and I didn't know that she and Zack got back together. But she told me that Her, Alli, and Zack all plan on coming out here for the house warming.

Oh my god, the house warming. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! There's going to be lots of people (hopefully) coming and I don't know what to do! I mean, it's so exciting that my friends are coming to see me and to come party with me (this is really exciting) but I just don't know what to do - I'll have food, that's for sure, but how to I keep everybody entertained?? AAAAAAAAAAUGH!

But what I am planning is that on Friday anybody who is in town is welcome to come and watch the Drive In. Kelly says there's one over by St. Elmo (or is it lake Elmo? I dunno) where you can have cook outs and stuff. I think it would be a great way to spend a friday night. Both my cloister sisters hope to be up by friday night :)

Oh, and this weekend I am driving up to Duluth/Beaver Bay to rescue some more furniture from my parent's cabin that is being torn down. I'll finally get a headboard for my bed! YAAAAAAAAAY! And I'll also get some chairs. Brian, Kelly - if you've read this far (I'm amazed) but would you like to come? I think it would be fun.

Anyways, I think I'm going to go to a movie this afternoon. I don't know what to see - 9/11, King Arthur, Napoleon Dynamite, or The Stepford Wives. I'll figure it out though.
